Malene Bach: Colour Transitions
26 May 2020 – 2 May 2021
The Danish artist Malene Bach has created a new installation in the Montana meeting room in GL STRAND. The installation Colour Transition is inspired by GL STRAND’s location and the architecture of the nearby Thorvaldsens Museum.
Malene Bach (born in 1967) lives and works in Copenhagen. Bach’s work explores perception and the conditional in art – often through site-specific, colouristic and architectural interventions. With colour as the primary vehicle, she experiments across mediums and scales, moving fluidly between art and architecture. Malene Bach is a recipient of several grants and awards.
Special thanks to: Montana, kvadrat, Frama, Nationalbankens Jubilæumsfond, Statens Kunstfond, Københavns Kommune, Statens Værksteder.
