Become an Art Partner

Art Partners is Kunstforeningen GL STRAND’s exclusive membership group, which continues with the art society’s original main purpose: to support and exhibit art. As an Art Partner you receive a unique artwork once a year.

As a member of Art Partners you not only support an innovative and experimental art environment in Copenhagen; at the same time you help to ensure the dissemi­nation of contemporary art. Once a year, with support from Art Partners, a young Danish or international artist will mount a solo exhibition on the third floor at GL STRAND. The exhibition will feature at least one new work of a kind that can be divided up into 20 independent elements, all with a unique character. The 20 works will subsequently be distributed among the members of Art Partners. 

Up to 20 companies or private collectors can become members of Art Partners for a minimum of three years at a time. Each member receives one artwork a year, created in connection with the year’s solo exhibition.

As an Art Partner you will be invited to exclusive events where you will meet selected artists, other Art Partners and the board of GL STRAND. For meetings or company receptions you can borrow the fine Erik A. Frandsen Room or the Montana Room on favourable terms. We offer stimulating cultural experiences to your staff and customers, and are at your service if you want to mount a quite special event based on you own company. Each year, as an Art Partner, you will be able to win artworks to decorate your workplace at the annual raffle of new contemporary art.

All companies have different requirements – so we can talk about your specific wishes and create individual solutions together on this basis.

The price for membership of Art Partners is DKK 50,000 a year for three years.
